ReBuild Warehouse
A bit about ReBuild Warehouse
ReBuild is a, nonprofit used building materials warehouse that accepts donations of usable building materials from deconstruction companies, residential and commercial projects and the public in order to keep valuable items out of the landfill. ReBuild then sells the materials at discounted prices in order to get them back out into the communities thus promoting the use of local items and saving resources. Proceeds from sales will go to fund training programs, for hard-to-place workers, in “green collar” jobs such as deconstruction, green roof installation, asbestos abatement, solar panel installation and other similar fields.

How ReBuild Warehouse is Green
ReBuild helps keep building materials, appliances and other valuable items out of landfills, reducing the waste stream from demolition projects. Also, they also promote reuse of these items by selling them back to the community at a discounted rate. By keeping these items out of landfills, they help preserve the cultural and architectural heritage of the region. Now that’s what we call Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle!
Why we think ReBuild Warehouse is great
ReBuild Warehouse is also very involved in the community. They provide seminars for home owners on weatherization and other do-it-yourself workshops, provide funding for green collar job training and host artists who make beautiful pieces of artwork from the items found in the ReBuild Warehouse. There is always something fun and educational going on at ReBuild, so be sure to sign up for their email newsletter to stay in the loop!
