The Green Rush is a signature Live Green event that embodies everything we’re about: making eco-friendly living accessible and fun. This year, we're proud to co-present the Green Rush with Clean Currents, DC's local, independent green energy company.
Registration
Check-in: Noon - 2pm at Logan Circle. Registration time slots will be assigned based on team name and emailed to you prior to April 21st. What to bring:

If we have a team of both Live Green members & non members, what price do we pay? Do we need a team name? Is the Green Rush family friendly? What should we wear? Do we need a digital camera? Can I use a smartphone? How do we know where to go? How do we win? What if we don't get to the finish line by 5:30? What do we win? What is included with my registration? Entry to the Green Rush, a reusable bag filled with goodies, give aways throughout the hunt, and entry to the after party [18+] at Liv (2001 11th St, NW). How many people can be on a team? You should have a team of at least 2 people, but no more than 5 people. If we have a team of both Live Green members and non Live Green members, what price do we pay? Each participant signs up individually, but your team can be mixed of members and non members. Be sure to sign up with your team name on the registration page to help us keep track of your team! Register here. Do we need a team name? Yes! The more creative the better. That’s how we’ll identify you for registration, verify your scores for picture-based clues, and find out if you win! Is the Green Rush family friendly? Yes! The event is a great way to spend time together as a family and to teach your children that being eco-friendly is fun, easy, and affordable. However, the after party is 18 and over. What should we wear? We recommend that you wear something that will be comfortable for physical activity. You will be running around DC to complete challenges – both mental and physical. Don’t forget that we are awarding a prize to the team with the most creative (and most “green”) outfit! Do we need a digital camera? Nope! The clue stations that involve pictures will have volunteers to take the photos for you. That said, having a camera or cameraphone is good idea for documenting your fun day, and you are welcome to bring one. Can I use a smart phone with internet to find answers? Yes, you sure can! How do we know where to go? You will receive a map with clues to your destinations at the start of the Green Rush. How do we win? The Green Rush designates a certain number of points for each activity. The team that collects the most points in the 3 hour time limit wins! Any ties will be broken by a lightning round game at the after party. Additionally, we give out the Green Spirit Award to the team with the best costume and best Green Spirit! What if we don’t get to the finish line by 5:30? Teams that arrive at the finish line location after 5:30 will have points deducted from their total. If your team arrives after 5:45 pm, you will be disqualified from winning our fabulous prizes. What do we win? The team that earns the most points in the 3 hour time limit will win a $1,000 grand prize. The Green Spirit Award winners will win a year’s worth supply of Honest Tea. There will be other great prizes for the best performing team at certain clue stations as well.
